P72.08 - Overexpression of LINC00942 is Associated With a Poor Prognosis and Immune Infiltration in Lung Adenocarcinoma (ID 3543)

- Abstract
Introduction
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) with key roles in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) development and progression have been used in the diagnosis and prognostic prediction of LUAD. A novel lncRNA LINC00942 was aberrantly expressed in many tumors, but its prognostic value and biological role in LUAD have not been fully studied. Thus, this study aimed to explore the expression pattern and potential biological role of LINC00942 in LUAD.
Methods
The expression pattern and prognosis value of LINC00942 in LUAD was analyzed using the Cancer Genome Atlas database. Functional enrichment analysis was used to predict the gene sets and pathways related to aberrant LINC00942 expression. Furthermore, the relationship between LINC00942 expression and immune infiltration in LUAD was analyzed.
Results
LINC00942 was highly expressed in LUAD tissues compared with normal lung tissues. High LINC00942 expression was an independent prognostic factor for overall survival in LUAD. Hallmark terms such as "Inflammatory_response", “G2M_checkpoint”, “MYC_targets” and “E2F_targets” were enriched in the LINC00942 high-expression groups. LINC00942 expression negatively correlated with infiltration of Eosinophil, Effector memeory CD8/4 T cell, Immature B cell and Macrophage.

Conclusion
Our study indicates that LINC00942 can act as a biomarker to predict the prognosis of LUAD patients and is correlated with immune cell infiltration in LUAD.
