P1.08 - Immunophenotyping of CD 146 Expression T Cells in Lung Cancer Patients (ID 31)
16:45 - 18:00 | Author(s): Ziqi Wang
- Abstract
Background:
Immunophenotyping of CD 146 is the exploration of heterogeneous populations of CD 146 in the T cells for identifying the presence, expression, and proportions
Method:
Blood was collected from lung cancer patients and from healthy subjects. Flow cytometry was used for the determination of CD146+ utilizing CD 4+, CD 25+ , CD 127 dim/-. Granulocytes, monocytes and lymphocytes apoptosis were determined by 7-amino-actinomycin D/Annexin V-APC staining during the resting stage and after 24hours.
Results:
The expression of CD 146+ was significantly higher in patients than in controls (P< 0.05). From the flow cytometry, the expression of the CD 146+ in the T cells includes 4.60 % in healthy patients, 10.10 %, 12.20 %, 9.80 % in adenocarcinoma, squamous and small cell lung cancer respectively.
Conclusion:
Increased in the percentage of the expression of CD 146+ in the T cells of the adenocarcinoma, squamous and small cell lung cancer patients unveil the clinical importance of CD 146+, which is a potential biomarker. To better comprehend and exploit Treg-cell biology in association with carcinogenesis and tumorigenesis, it will be very interesting to investigate more specific cell-surface markers.
